Hunting lobby in on the Loot

Non-Profits like the Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation are now eligible to take part in the $42 million a year in payouts that would be available under the TIME initiative.

That makes up about $1.2 billion over the 30-year lifespan of the program according to the article. So, it appears that sizable deals were cut left and right to make sure that everyone had a chance to get their hands on a piece of the pie.

I wonder if enough was set aside to make the environmental groups happy.

Fall out from Home builders Deal

The Home Builders are saying that the deal to take development fees out of the 1 cent tax increase was not their idea.

Governor Napolitano is now saying that the deal was never a secret.

The fact is, a deal was cut in which the Home Builders payed $100,000 to keep impact fees out of a transportation plan that will benefit them by building roads to the houses they are building and agreed not to use their money to oppose a state land trust initiative. Sounds like they got away cheap.

Its a mystery if the regular taxpayers can say the same.
